PARIS, FRANCE, May 19, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- PARIS, FRANCE - On Friday May 9th 2014, for the second year in a row, Europ Assistance - Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) hosted a special disease prevention event in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in N’Djamena, Chad. This year’s half-day event gathered more than 550 U.S. Embassy Chad local employees and their families who participated to presentations on awareness and prevention techniques against malaria, HIV and hepatitis as well water-related diseases.

Along the 10-stands course, attendees also learned about medical services available to them within the healthcare plan provided by GCS through the two Europ Assistance (EA) Medical Centers in N’Djamena. Participants were also shown the use of GCS’ Patient Satisfaction Survey touchscreen application and the importance of patients’ feedback for improving service delivery at the EA Medical Centers.

This year’s focus theme focusing on water-related diseases, all U.S. Embassy local employees and their families received a personal hygiene kit amongst other goodies. Children under 10 years old also received a Water-related Diseases Awareness Coloring Book and colored pencils created by GCS’ teams to explain through a short story and drawings what water-related diseases are and the techniques to prevent from contracting them.

GCS is proud to have hosted another successful event clearly illustrating Europ Assistance’s values and convictions of its CSR approach.
