Anacostia Metro Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Project Virtual Public Meeting
(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 6, 2025, to discuss the Anacostia Metro Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Project. DDOT will share an update on the project, discuss the next steps, and answer your questions at this virtual public meeting.
The Anacostia Metro Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge is part of an initiative to revitalize the physical infrastructure of the Anacostia and Barry Farm communities and provides a much-needed link over the Suitland Parkway. DDOT is proposing to design and construct a bicycle and pedestrian bridge between Anacostia Metro Station and Barry Farm Development. The proposed bridge will provide residents and commuters with a seamless and safe neighborhood-to-metro connection and will promote wider links to the broader network of District trails. Project goals include enhancing pedestrian safety, access to the Metro and bike lanes, and more.
