Closure Scheduled for Interstate 90 Rest Area at Chamberlain

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – On Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, the Chamberlain rest area located on Interstate 90 will be closed for a scheduled project to remodel the facility. This rest area provides service for both I-90 westbound and eastbound traffic. During the rest area closure, access to the Dignity statue will remain open. Truck parking will also be available.

All work is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Travelers are encouraged to plan for alternate restroom options during this closure.

The contractor for this $323,700 project is Tellinghuisen Construction of Willow Lake, SD.
