Huston says her career began in publishing after earning a degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University. Her transition to authorship wasn’t easy—"Love Child" originated from an article she wrote for Harper’s Bazaar UK and evolved into a full-length memoir. The process of confronting fragmented memories while shaping her story led her to develop the Imaginative Storm method, a groundbreaking approach to writing that prioritizes creativity and free expression.

Building on her experiences, Huston co-authored "Write What You Don’t Know: 10 Steps to Writing with Confidence, Energy, and Flow" (2022) with James Navé.
