The ARRC LED is inviting medical professionals and sports recovery centers to engage in testing of a powerful new polychromatic, full body LED Light Therapy bed in June of 2017.
The new system will nearly double the power of the ARRC’s first chamber called the EDGE, and increase the wavelength distribution from 2 to 5 active wavelengths delivered with a pulse.
Feedback from early testers of the EDGE has exceeded expectations for wellness and performance enhancement.
The question the ARRC LED is asking is, what will be the response of an increase in power distributed among 5 wavelengths instead of two – all activated at the same time.
PBM seems to affect the cells by (1) increasing cellular energy (2) detoxification of waste and free radicals (3) increasing both circulation and quality of blood flow. These cellular benefits cascade down into the tissues, organs and systems creating ‘positive benefits for nearly every part of the body’ [1]
Eight new facilities will be invited to participate in this study. The intention is to reach out to medical centers that deal with pain clients and athletic recovery centers (Cryotherapy and sports medicine) that deal with recovery from competition or intense training.
The benefit curve seems to cross over from wellness, into athletic performance, aesthetics and cognitive function.
