Honda Rearview Report: February 8 - February 10, 2017

"This week we launched our new marketing campaign for the 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. This campaign will help grow awareness and earn us new customers for our advanced, zero-emissions Clarity, and it's a clear signal of our intention to take fuel cell technology into the mainstream.

The "Always Thinking About Tomorrow" campaign that debuted this week aims to both inspire and educate consumers about the advantages of the Clarity Fuel Cell as an everyday drivable sedan that uses hydrogen as a fuel source. In addition, five 'edu-tainment' videos are featured on Honda's various social platforms to help create familiarity and expand awareness.

This new marketing push also comes on the heels of our announcement last week with General Motors of plans to advance fuel cell technology with a dedicated manufacturing facility for next-generation fuel cell systems. This major step toward lower-cost, higher-volume fuel cell systems will create new value for our customers and sets the stage for a new generation of hydrogen-powered vehicles coming in 2020.

Together, our marketing efforts behind the Clarity Fuel Cell and our investment in the mass production of next-gen fuel cell systems represent significant steps in creating a more robust and sustainable market for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, which we believe represent the best long-term solution to the world's energy and environmental concerns."
