Florida Man Discovers He Has an Original Paul Gauguin Painting in His Living Room

Could Be the Last Piece of Artwork Gauguin May Have Painted Before He Died In 1903

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, December 15, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Once in a while, a story can be told, that luck does find its way to someone who would have never expected it. A Florida Man, who had an Estate Sale four months ago, was in the midst of entertaining his buyers; when a woman came in the front door, said out of nowhere, “hey I love your Gauguin!” He looked up at the painting in question with a questionable eye and said OK? Puzzled, he looked back down to ask her a question and she just disappeared and was never seen again. From that moment on, an unbelievable adventure began with many twists and turns that could make Dan Brown proud! He initially wanted to keep this knowledge a secret but decided it was time to tell this story to the world.
He did not think about it until almost a week later! This gentleman did something out of the ordinary, instead of spending time proving it was real and conjuring up a bunch of wishful thinking, he did the unthinkable!
He instead did something only fools would do; he spent over 2000 hours trying to prove it was not a Paul Gauguin painting. No matter what he did to dispel the heritage and who the true painter was, it kept leading him back to Paul Gauguin himself. He initially wanted to keep this knowledge a secret but decided it was time to tell this incredible story to the world.
There are over 20 clues that could prove that the painting in question could indeed be Paul Gauguin’s last work of art! These are not the clues but a few instances that lead to the clues.
• He bought the mural in 2013 from a Disney Auction. Why, because it reminded him of its heritage (Hawaiian)
• The Painting is a huge Mural depicting Polynesian Culture and history, Paul Gauguin painted two Murals in his lifetime! One being his most famous painting.
• The Mural hung in the Polynesian Village Resort since 1971
• It was not painted by a Disney Imagineering Artist as what typically happens when you see a Mural in one of the parks or in one of their famous resorts!
• The oil on canvass proved to be around 115 – 125 years old. The colors was proved to be in Gauguin’s repertoire
• It was purchased in Tahiti by Disney Curators purchasing artifacts and artwork for the Polynesian Village with an unlimited resource (cash) account.
• The large canvas was believed rolled up because of its size, almost 5 feet tall and 14 feet long and shipped through the Panama Canal to the Tampa Port of call in 1970. It is a one piece mural not cut in the typical three or four same size pieces placed close together to make a large Mural on a huge wall.
• Roy Disney wanted to make a splash with his first two resorts in 1971. It was a wish that Walt wanted before he died in 1966 is to give the hotel industry a run for their money. The Polynesian Village Resort would compete with the Hawaii and California Tourism Industry during those times, it was a major Roy Disney goal!
• Paul Gauguin owed 500 francs and was going to spend 3 months in Jail from allegedly lying to the villagers about the Government and the Catholic Church, even though his speeches were true.
• Gauguin was broke and near death. He did not want to die in jail and made a deal with the Tahitian Governor. What was the deal? To this day, no one knows. Gauguin died 3 weeks before his sentence was to begin. The Governor did receive something from Gauguin but no one knows what it was. His charges and the paying of the fine were mysteriously dropped.
Now begins the story of intrigue and amazement with a final act that could make any writer or movie producer proud!
