North Shore Steel (www.nssco.com), a steel service center located in Houston, Texas, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the equipment assets of Houston Blow Pipe, a 100+ year-old plate processing business also located in Houston, Texas.

The acquisition includes four press brakes, one of which is a 3000-ton press brake with a 27.5’ bed, giving North Shore Steel the largest press brake capacity in the Gulf Coast. The acquisition also includes several plate rolling machines, welding equipment, and forklifts.

CEO and President Buzzy Bluestone says the acquisition of the press brake equipment is the ideal complement to North Shore Steel’s steel processing capabilities, which includes rolling (up to 10” thick), plasma and oxy fuel burning, press forming, CNC profiling (shells and heads), machining, code welding, and NDE testing.
