A big networking event aimed at UK and Romanian businesses at the Radisson Blu, Bucharest

LONDON, UK, November 2, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Romania has launched a drive to promote commercial links with the UK in one of the first post-Brexit trade initiatives by an EU country. BACK 2 BUSINESS joint international trade networking event is being held at the Radisson Hotel, Bucharest, on 9 November, hosted by the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC).The organisers expect 100s of people to attend the event, which is supported by the UK Department of International Trade (DIT) and many local business organisations..

Charlie Crocker, CEO of BRCC, explained: “We know there are huge opportunities for trade between the UK and Romania, and we believe this one of the first post-Brexit initiatives by an EU country. Romania has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and a great business story in services, ITC, automotive, energy, nuclear, and infrastructure. The Romanian business community also has a high level of English. At the event, we will have some 500 attendees from 9 participating international chambers, including America, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israeli and Switzerland.”

Mr Crocker, who has lived and worked in Romania since 1990, added. “The BRCC wants to increase its activities, outreach, and capability to communicate the export opportunities for the UK in Romania, and for Romania in the UK. As well as bringing together businesses in the two countries for mutual trade benefits, BRCC aims to be an advocate for British standards – quality, ethics, transparency, and honesty. It will work tirelessly with the Department of International Trade (DIT) to promote trade activities between Britain and Romania in growth sectors, especially among SMEs.”
