AMADOR CALLS FOR FEDERAL INVESTIGATION INTO SAN JOSE VIOLENCE

“WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE,” says Amador

President Obama should send the FBI to investigate the denial of civil rights just like he did in Ferguson and Baltimore. Where is the same outrage?
— Antonio Amador
STOCKTON, CA, USA, June 6, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Stockton— “Today I am demanding a Federal investigation into the violence at the San Jose Trump Rally,” said Antonio Amador, leading candidate for the 9th Congressional District. “I am asking Congressman Jerry McNerney to join me in demanding an end to the political violence that infringes on the right to gather in peaceful assembly,” said Amador.

“The video tape of the assaults should be reviewed and proper action taken by the internal review process of the San Jose Police Department. The State Attorney General should conduct a separate investigation. I think President Obama should send the FBI to investigate the denial of civil rights just like he did in Ferguson and Baltimore. Where is the same outrage?” said Amador.

“If the rioters are not legally in this country, they should be immediately deported,” Amador added.

“A bunch of 'thugs' who probably never served in the military, judging from their ages in the videos, flashed gang signs and wore the colors and apparel of common street gangs.”

“Who were these young thugs? Were they actually Mexican nationals? They carried and waved Mexican flags. If they were Mexicans, they should remember that in Mexico, they could never get away with their illegal conduct. If they were Americans of Mexican descent, all the more disgusting. These ingrates are enjoying freedoms not enjoyed by Mexican citizens of their ancestral country.”

“As an American of Mexican descent, I am embarrassed, disgusted, and damn irritated at the ‘thugs’ who perpetrated these acts. My mother and father who were born in Mexico would have been embarrassed, ashamed and angry at their antics. I am sure the parents of these young rioters, if they were immigrants from Mexico would also be angry and embarrassed.”

“As a former LAPD officer, Parole Board Member, Director of the California Youth Authority and retired U.S. Marshal, I am especially disgusted with the San Jose Police Department who failed to respond accordingly. I can only hope that if it had been LAPD maintaining the peace, the police response would have been even--handed and peaceful assembly guaranteed.”

“This lack of action by the San Jose Police and the comments by Mayor Sam Liccardo, who blamed ‘Trumps irresponsible behavior,’ may be explained by the fact that San Jose is a ‘Sanctuary City’, another reason to have a Federal investigation so that justice can be done,” said Amador.
