We're aware of a scam where unsolicited outbound calls are being made from people claiming to be from Origin. These callers typically demand full or partial payment, provide a nominated bank account for deposit and threaten to disconnect power if the payment is not made immediately.

If you receive a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from Origin, hang up immediately and contact us on 13 24 61 - ask to speak to the Credit team and we can verify the status of your account.

If you do receive a call that you think may have been a scam, please lodge it with the Federal Government's Scam Watch website at www.scamwatch.gov.au or call the ScamWatch ACCC Info Centre on 1300 795 995.

Please contact your local police if you believe you may be the victim of fraud.
