Reporting to the Senior Process Systems Programmer, the Software Developer Intern is responsible for developing and maintaining software throughout PotashCorp’s potash divisions. In addition, the Software Developer Intern will provide assistance to potash sites to identify and resolve problems directly related to improving collection, maintenance, and integrity of data.
The successful candidate will be a recent graduate from a technical school with a diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or a student presently in third year of studies, and working towards completion of a Computer Science degree or diploma. In addition, superior interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills will be required. Knowledge of programming languages (specifically languages incorporated into the .Net architecture), object-oriented development techniques, relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL) and application development methodologies are an asset.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
