Criminal defense lawyer Russell Matson will speak at the Boston Freedom Rally, in support of marijuana law reform and legalization.

BRAINTREE, MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES, September 12, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The 25th annual Boston Freedom Rally is taking place this weekend on the Boston Common, Saturday and Sunday the 13th and 14th from Noon to 6pm.

The annual event draws speakers, musicians, and activists in support of reform of marijuana laws and legalization.

Attorney Russell Matson is scheduled to speak on both days of the event. He is a Massachusetts criminal defense lawyer who has defended people accused of drug charges, and is a strong supporter of marijuana legalization and reform. He will talk about the role of the courts and police officers in adapting to reform.

He is also the owner of drugpossessionlaws.com, a website and Facebook community with over 1.5 million fans that support drug law reform nationwide.

Activists are working to have a similar legalization initiative on the ballot in Massachusetts in 2016.
