The station signed on as a primary NBC affiliate and secondary ABC affiliate on September 1, 1965 at 7am. The first telecast was none other than NBC’s Today Show. WTWO’s first color broadcasts began eleven days later, Classics such as “Bonanza”, “The Man from UNCLE”, and “The Dean Martin Show” filled the airwaves over channel 2.
