As the Co-Founder of Waverider Scalar, LLC, I support my team with brand development, site selection/negotiations, and all aspects of startup (site selection, contract management, financial modeling, banking, accounting, IT systems selection, payroll outsourcing, etc.). My familiarity with operational systems and KPIs provides a data-driven approach to growth management, but our focus on the development of our team members and their happiness is at the core of our business. We plan to open our first location in North Phoenix (NE of Hwy 101 and I-17) in February/March of 2024. With over 25 years of experience in operations leadership, business growth, and profitability, I have delivered value across various sectors, including quick-service restaurants, fast casual dining, franchising, cosmetology education, and the sale of mobile medical clinics and services. My upbringing in Hawaii and work experience have culminated in a passion for improving the lives of others. "Moderation in Everything...Including Moderation" is a philosophy that supports a life lived out loud. It is born out of my love for great food and sweet treats as much as a realization that we must tend to our spiritual and physical health to have the energy to help others. So what do we do? The core of the business is the Energy Enhancement System or "EESystem" which works by emitting low-frequency electromagnetic waves that influence the body’s energy field. These waves help to restore balance and harmony, supporting the body’s natural, innate healing mechanisms. The technology is non-invasive, painless, and can be used alongside other therapies and treatments without interference, making it suitable for people of all ages and health conditions. We will also have FAR Infrared Sauna and ionic footbath services and charged bath salts and other retail items available for purchase. Some of my notable achievements include substantially growing wholesale revenue for a Krispy Kreme joint venture from $1M to $20M in 5 years, doubling the EBITDA margin for a Krispy Kreme division in 5 years, opening 125+ locations for various brands, and generating record profits through the COVID crisis in 2020 and 2021. I leverage my deep expertise in people strategies, process improvement, and sales operations to execute growth strategies, develop partnerships, and empower teams. I also champion a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and clean fun in the workplace.
