Bachmann Announces Immigration Seminar for Constituents

On Thursday, June 21, the Office of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) will host a seminar for constituents titled “Immigration 101: Answers to the questions you were afraid to ask.” This seminar will be led by a representative from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and the Department of Homeland Security. The seminar will take place between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM at the Ramsey Government Center, located at 7550 Sunwood Drive Northwest, in Ramsey, Minn.

“The immigration process can be very complex, but we want to help constituents navigate the federal process,” said Bachmann. “I invite all interested constituents to attend this seminar with a representative from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and the Department of Homeland Security to get their important questions answered.”

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) representative will address many issues that enable people from other countries to enter and reside permanently in the United States. These issues may include Immigrant Visa vs. Non-immigrant Visa, applying for an adjustment, Immediate Relative Petitions and International Adoptions. USCIS will also touch on such issues as Asylum, Refugee Status, Humanitarian Parole and Temporary Protective Status.

Bachmann’s casework staff is always available to answer questions and help constituents with immigration problems and other federal issues. Staff can be reached at Bachmann’s Woodbury office at 651-731-5400 or her Waite Park office at 320-253-5931.
