Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs Reta Jo Lewis traveled to Turkey, May 25-June 1, to promote U.S.-Turkey subnational engagement. She visited the cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, and Mersin.

Special Representative Lewis collaborated with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal’s trade mission to explore business and trade opportunities in Turkey. Special Representative Lewis also met with state and local officials in Turkey to explore possible U.S.-Turkish partnerships.
