Yesterday, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) met with Gen. John Allen, Commander of U.S. operations in Afghanistan, in her office.

“I extend my sincere thanks to Gen. Allen for taking time to meet with me regarding operations in Afghanistan. I am proud of the work that our ground forces are doing, and I commend them for keeping up their efforts. I believe our troops must be given every tool needed to succeed in their mission so we can win the war in Afghanistan against radical jihadists.  

“I hope to be able to visit Afghanistan in the near future in order to see operations first-hand.”

Bachmann is a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
