Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues Robert King will be in Geneva March 12-13 to participate in the UN Human Rights Council’s 19th Session for its review of North Korea. In Geneva, he will meet with the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the D.P.R.K., Marzuki Darusman.

Ambassador King departs Geneva for Rome on March 14.  He will join USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator Jon Brause in Rome to meet with World Food Progamme representatives on March 15 to brief on administrative details of the nutritional assistance program announced by the United States and North Korea on February 29.

Ambassador King and Deputy Assistant Administrator Brause will return to Washington, DC on March 16.
