AJC ACCESS Launches Global Jewish Voice Student Blog
February 24, 2012 – New York -- ACCESS, AJC’s new generation program, has launched The Global Jewish Voice, a new online forum highlighting the view of Jewish students around the world.
“Recognizing a need to increase dialogue among young Jews worldwide, The Global Jewish Voice provides an online space for a truly international conversation for students and young adults,” said Rebecca Neuwirth, director of AJC ACCESS.
Staff writers for the online blog, www.globalJewishvoice.com, report on their lives on campus, in the workplace and at home in Israel, the U.S., Chile, Spain, China, Canada, the UK, Serbia and Uganda.
This project is the latest AJC ACCESS initiative to reach a new generation of Israel activists, especially on campuses. The Global Jewish Voice compliments an AJC ACCESS blog for post-college Jewish activists, www.ajc.org/globalnetwork .
AJC ACCESS offers other opportunities for students, including AJC student societies on campuses, the Goldman Fellowship Program, a prestigious paid summer internship made possible by the Goldman Family Foundation, and geopolitical strategy games focused on contemporary Middle East issues, civility workshops and more.
The Global Jewish Voice is a joint initiative of AJC ACCESS, the Jewish Student Press Service (New Voices Magazine), and World Union of Jewish Students. It was made possible by a generous grant from Gail Alexander Binderman and E. Robert Goodkind, important supporters of ACCESS and other innovative engagement for young Jews.
