UAW endorses Mark Bernstein for the U of M Board of Regents
DETROIT - The UAW Michigan Community Action Program (CAP) has taken action to endorse Mark Bernstein in his candidacy for the University of Michigan Board of Regents.
"UAW members are vitally concerned about the future direction of affordable, quality college education in Michigan, and will actively participate in the upcoming 2012 election cycle to elect progressive pro-worker candidates like Mark Bernstein," said UAW President Bob King.
"Mark Bernstein is dedicated to improving the lives of all Michigan working families by protecting the promise for working people to obtain a high quality education for their children and themselves. Mark's work on the Michigan Civil Rights Commission defines his commitment to inclusion and diversity, and will make him a powerful advocate for equal educational opportunities for all Michigan citizens," said King.
