Milwaukee, WI – WV Secretary of State Mac Warner has joined five other state chief election officers at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee this week to help highlight and communicate their concerns over election security and to prevent the federal government's attempt to take control of state elections. On Wednesday, Warner and five other Secretaries released a statement to the national press and to convention attendees (see attached).

Secretary Warner has been West Virginia's Secretary of State since 2017. Working with Secretaries of State from throughout the country, he has lead a national effort to review the improprieties of the presidential election of 2020. Further, this group of state election officials are assisting state and federal lawmakers in developing legislation and election protocols to keep the election process secure from foreign and domestic influences.

Most recently, a group of Secretaries of State from throughout the nation led by Secretary Warner are opposing the Biden Administration's attempt to force federal agencies to register voters who work with or depend on these agencies for services or programs. Legal action has been taken against the Biden Executive Order that seeks to federalize the voter registration process. The legal action asks the federal court to leave the voter registration process with the states.

Warner is attending the RNC with (left to right) Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales; Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen; Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray; Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson; and Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen.
