Supreme Court reinstates four-business-hour processing requirement
TOPEKA—The Supreme Court filed Administrative Order 2024-RL-061 yesterday, which reinstates a requirement that courts process filed documents within four business hours.
The processing requirement in Supreme Court Rule 23(c)(2) was suspended following the October 12 cybersecurity incident that impacted Kansas courts.
With district courts back online, and their paper backlogs eliminated, the Supreme Court filed the order to reinstate the time requirement for processing filings.
