CIFAL Tbilisi Providing Learning Opportunities for Good Governance and Sustainable Development
1 July 2024, Tbilisi, Georgia –The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL) in Tbilsi created in 2023 has provided a series of training activities mainly dedicated to strengthening the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSO), public servants and leaders from different municipalities across Georgia on areas related to good governance and sustainable development.
Between June and December 2023, CIFAL Tbilisi conducted different activities, including, 4 learning events, 6 non-learning events, 5 in-person meetings, 2 web-based meetings and 3 hybrid meetings, benefiting a total of 302 participants from 31 municipalities.
These activities involved:
- Discussions on the challenges related to the implementation of the UN Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in Georgia
- Advocacy events in support of the Implementation of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
- Training on participatory budgeting and advocacy for representatives of civil society organizations
- Training on public participation in fiscal policy at the local level
