Wainiha bridge repairs completed
HANALEI, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies highway users that the Wainiha Bridge Repair project has been completed as of Friday morning, March 22, 2024.
HDOT work to replace the bridge support and panels required closures of Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) between Ala Eke Road and ‘Ananalu Road on Monday through Thursday nights between March 18 and March 22. All work has been completed and there are no additional full closures needed.
HDOT thanks Kauaʻi responders for staging to minimize potential disruptions in service to the community as we performed the necessary repairs to Wainiha Bridge No. 2.
