VFW Post 8835 celebrates birthday of 102-year-old WWII Veteran
WINSLOW, Maine (WABI) - Veterans of Foreign War Post 8835 in Winslow celebrated the birthday of Lionel Duquette, a 102-year-old World War II veteran on Saturday.
The Quarter Master, Christopher Soucy, told us that Lionel says his secret to longevity is playing chess.
Post 8835 donated over $60,000 to local charities last year and Soucy says he loves to get the post involved in the community.
Lionel is currently the oldest member at the post and friends, family, and other VFW members joined him to celebrate the day with cake, pool, and laughter.
Happy 102nd birthday Lionel!
