Direct Energy has set a new fixed price for a 100 percent renewable energy product for Norwich, Connecticut residents who enroll in Direct Energy's Direct Choice program. Direct Choice customers can purchase RECs at a fixed rate of 8.49 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). Customers who are 65 or older are eligible for a discounted rate of 8.39 cents per kWh. Direct Energy will purchase and retire RECs to offset 100 percent of customers' electricity use.
