Bachmann Unveils Adoption Resource on Website
Today, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) unveiled the “Adoption Resource”, the latest addition to her congressional website. This new resource offers website visitors invaluable information about the adoption process and foster care system. After unveiling the online resource, Bachmann made the following statement on the importance of this new portion of her website, www.bachmann.house.gov:
“As a foster mother of 23 children, I am thrilled to add this resource to my congressional website. Though more than 100,000 American children are waiting to be adopted into a ‘forever’ family, many Americans often choose not to adopt due to misconceptions regarding adoption. I strongly believe initiatives, like tomorrow’s National Adoption Day, are helping to correct misconceptions about adoption, and I hope this new resource will do the same. I invite my website visitors to browse this resource and discover how they can best make a positive impact in the life of a child.”
The “Adoption Resource” includes links to other useful online resources on the American adoption process and foster care systems; an interactive map of adoption agencies throughout Minnesota; video profiles of constituents who have received national recognition for their work in adoption; and a list of ways in which the Office of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann can assist in adoption cases. Visitors to Bachmann’s website may access the resource by clicking on the link located on the bottom left of the homepage.
