MELBOURNE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA, October 24, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Edalex, the company powering organisations’ single source of truth for skills and learning data, is pleased to announce the integration of the openRSD Rich Skill Descriptor (RSD) library into Learning Vault’s digital credentialing platform.

The new ‘skills’ section dynamically searches through openRSD and enables the credential creator to select the RSD association of their choice. This machine-readable feature enhances metadata and future-proof skills by aligning with the world’s largest open library of skill descriptors. This feature is set to further elevate digital credentials, enabling issuers to integrate standardised skills descriptions into credential metadata, according to Learning Vault.

“We’re excited to see continued integration and use of our openRSD library by other organisations and EdTech platforms, such as that announced by our valued integration partner Learning Vault,” said Dan McFadyen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Edalex. “We launched openRSD in 2022 as a space to create, store and share rich skill descriptors (RSDs) – helping create a global, context-rich and open skills language. The response from the market has been inspiring, especially given the seamless integration Learning Vault developed for credential issuers and recipients alike. We’re thrilled about openRSD being recognised as a finalist in the Skills Solution (a.k.a. 21st-Century Skills) category in the EdTech Cool Tools Award 2023 within 12 months of its release.”

“We are proud of our partnership with Edalex, one of our most important and valued integration partners, who’ve made this feature possible for our platform,” said Nicholas Robert Alderice, founder and CEO of Learning Vault. “The functionality in our credentialing platform is enhanced by those of our deep integration partners, such as Edalex, and further supports the use of digital credentials by the market.”

“Collaboration, open technology and adherence to standards are values closely held by Edalex and Learning Vault,” McFadyen continued. “We believe close collaboration between EdTech developers and education providers is essential to the successful tech enablement of the skills ecosystem. We look forward to continuing to work with partners from across the education spectrum in furtherance of our learner- and evidence-centric approach.”
