AUSTRALIA, August 6 - On 3 August 2023, the Senate referred the Climate Change Amendment (Duty of Care and Intergenerational Climate Equity) Bill 2023 to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 1 February 2024.

The closing date for submissions was the 20 October 2023 and has been extended 23 November 2023.

On 7 August 2023, the committee was granted an extension of time for the report until 1 March 2024.
