AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet November 4

The National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is scheduled to meet on Friday, November 4. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and AHRQ Director. The Council consists of 21 members from the private sector and seven ex-officio members from other federal health agencies.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the Agency’s current research, programs and initiatives. The meeting will feature discussions on patient-centered outcomes research dissemination/implementation activities, physician performance measures, and a briefing on the Institute of Medicine Future of Nursing Report and campaign for action. Prior to the formal meeting, there will be a meeting of the National Advisory Council Subcommittee on the AHRQ National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports.
