Infosecurity Europe 2023 announce champion sprinter, Michael Johnson, to bring Olympic level insights to keynote stage
Olympian and author, Matthew Syed, and acclaimed analyst, Keren Elazari, will also take to the stage
LONDON, ENGLAND, June 1, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- Four time Olympic gold medalist, and legendary sprinter, Michael Johnson has been confirmed as the opening keynote at this year’s Infosecurity Europe, the most influential information security event running from 20-22 June 2023 at ExCeL London. Johnson, now a successful entrepreneur, author, sports pundit and philanthropist, will share insights from his incredible journey, both on and off the track, the values of goal-setting, adversity, performing against competitors, perseverance and how these same principles can be applied in cybersecurity.
Johnson, is one of the most celebrated sprinters in track and field history, holding four Olympic gold medals, eight World Championship gold medals, and numerous other accolades, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time, but his impact goes far beyond his athletic achievements. Johnson will provide unparalleled insights on how to perform against competitors, stay agile under adversity and consistently pursue and achieve excellence against the odds.
Former-Olympian, author and journalist, Matthew Syed, has also been lined up for day two at 10:00 on Wednesday 21st June, to delve into the concept of ‘black box thinking’ and the connection between mindset and high performance.
Syed was the England table tennis number one for almost a decade and is now a multi-award-winning journalist for The Times and The Sunday Times, and is a regular contributor to television and radio. He is also the author of seven bestsellers on high performance - including Black Box Thinking, Bounce, The Greatest and Rebel Ideas.
Visitors can expect to learn about unlocking their untapped potential and how adopting a performance mindset can accelerate innovation and future-proof the organization. His talk will cover how cognitive diversity and black box thinking can be a competitive advantage in the fight against cybercriminals.
Syed will touch on the importance of collaboration and how organizations should avoid institutionalism and open themselves up to change and diverse thinking. Mistakes and failure should become an opportunity to adapt and grow, and sharing those challenges and learning from them, allows for innovation and improvement.
Nicole Mills, Exhibition Director at Infosecurity Group, comments: “Every year we strive to bring a variety of inciting, inspirational and innovative speakers to the stage, not simply to share cyber security awareness, but to set the tone for the event and explore critical ideas. Each of these speakers are further, vibrant examples of how different worlds collide, but how mindset and the ability to adapt, collaborate and drive innovation, can help secure a future-proofed environment.”
Former hacker turned cybersecurity expert and Founder of BSidesTLV, Israel's largest security community event, Keren Elazari, will present on day three, at 10:00 on Thursday 22 June and will use her talk to explore the intersection of cyber conflict and politics. Keren is an internationally celebrated speaker and analyst - her 2014 TED talk, the first by an Israeli woman at the official TED Conference and now viewed by millions, reimagined the perception of hackers and the role they play in the evolution of cybersecurity on a global scale.
She will bring her experience and knowledge to Infosecurity Europe to share insights into national security and geopolitics and how they are being radically changed by digital society. She will discuss the use of information as the new currency of our digital society and how those who can control it have become powerful actors, whether they choose to be heroes or villains.
“In 2023, Cyber Security is no longer about protecting secrets. It is about our way of life, and about our trust in the digital ecosystem. Cyber threats impact everyday people, and we are all on the front lines, but this is not a political battle - it's a challenge that requires everyone coming together as a digital society to protect our future. So how can we prepare for what comes next? I believe we can do that, by actually learning from hackers", said Keren Elazari, The friendly hacker.
The event will also provide opportunities to hear from, and network with, the people who make up our community, exchange ideas, build resilience and be able to work together to protect our shared future. Below are some of the sessions that visitors will be able to take advantage of at the 2023 event:
