Insurance Department issues letter to producers on flood insurance
BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Insurance Department has sent a letter to resident producers to raise awareness of issues surrounding the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
The issues stem from organized townships that have not agreed to participate in the NFIP, which is required for policies to be enforced. During the 2023 Legislative Assembly, Senate Bill 2365 was passed and seeks to study the issue and potential solutions.
