TCEQ approves fines totaling $1,898,718

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality yesterday approved penalties totaling $1,832,934 against 47 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: sixteen air quality, two industrial hazardous waste, two industrial wastewater discharge, three multi-media, one municipal solid waste, six municipal wastewater discharge, four petroleum storage tanks, seven public water system, and two water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one multi-media, one municipal solid waste, one public water system, and one water quality.

In addition, on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13, the executive director approved penalties totaling $65,784 against 31 entities.
