TOMORROW: In Sacramento, Governor Newsom to Swear In Inaugural #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Fellows
SACRAMENTO – Tomorrow in Sacramento, Governor Gavin Newsom will swear in the first class of #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Fellows. The Governor will administer the service oath to the more than 3,200 College Corps Fellows, with several hundred joining in-person and others participating online from throughout the state.
College Corps Fellows will earn $10,000 for committing to one year of service focused on three key issue areas for the state: K-12 education, climate action and food insecurity. The program provides undergraduate students at 46 colleges and universities across California the opportunity to make a difference in their community through service.
WHEN: Friday, October 7, 2022 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Media should arrive at 11:00 a.m.
Following the event, Governor Newsom will participate in a media gaggle.
