Arrest Made in Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 2500 Block of 9th Street, Northwest
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, May 16, 2022, in the 2500 block of 9th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 9:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Marquis Funderbunk, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
