LibQUAL+® at ALA Midwinter: Training Sessions and Booth Consultations



Washington DC—The LibQUAL+® team is pleased to announce the following events, scheduled in conjunction with the American Libraries Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in Dallas, Texas, January 2012.

LibQUAL+®: Survey Introduction

Recommended for all first-time survey administrators. This session provides potential and prospective new LibQUAL+® participants with information on the project's development and origins, as well as basic practical information for getting started with the survey at your library. A buffet breakfast will be served.

LibQUAL+®: Survey Administration

Recommended for both first-time and repeat survey administrators. This session provides all participants registered for LibQUAL+® survey administration with practical information for administering the survey at your library, including: articulating survey objectives/desired outcomes, creating an assessment group or team, marketing your survey, navigating the LibQUAL+® online system (preferences, customization, monitoring survey progress), and obtaining results. Lunch will be served.

LibQUAL+®: Survey Results

This session is aimed at library staff who participated in the survey and will (a) provide an overview of recent LibQUAL+® participation, (b) report the latest research, (c) help participants to begin to interpret their institutional notebooks, and (d) share best practices in using the results. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions related to the results, provide feedback on their survey experience, learn from other participants, and discuss how to put LibQUAL+® results into action. Please bring your results notebooks if you have specific questions regarding your results.

LibQUAL+® Consultations

Make the most of your exhibit time at ALA Midwinter. If you have questions about the survey (general process, survey customization, results analysis, etc.), schedule a consultation with a LibQUAL+® team member in the exhibit hall. The consultation can be an open-ended, one-on-one session tailored to your needs, held at the LibQUAL+® Booth #1649.
