WHEN: Friday, July 29, 2011:

2:25 p.m. – Shuttles begin to depart from Rotunda Baseball Fields parking lot to Rouge Visitor Center. Shuttles will run continuously for 20 minutes. 

(Note: All attendees must use Rotunda Baseball Fields parking in order to attend the event. There will be no parking at the Visitor Center.)

2:45 p.m. – Last shuttle departs from Rotunda Baseball Fields 

3 p.m. – UAW-Ford Negotiations Opening Day Ceremony begins

(All members of the media invited to attend.)

4 p.m. – Opening Day Ceremony concludes

4:15 p.m. – UAW-Ford media Q&A with: 

• Bob King, UAW president 

• Jimmy Settles, UAW vice president and director, National Ford Department 

• John Fleming, Ford executive vice president, Global Manufacturing and Labor Affairs

• Marty Mulloy, Ford vice president, Labor Affairs

4:30 p.m. – Event Concludes; media work room with wireless access available; food provided

Shuttles will depart continuously from the Rouge Visitor Center to the Rotunda Baseball Fields between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Directions to Rotunda Fields Parking: 

From the North (southbound on M-39 Southfield Freeway):

Exit Southfield Freeway at exit 5 (Rotunda Drive).  At the light, turn left on Rotunda Drive.  Go 1.7 miles to the Rotunda ball fields which are on your left. Park in the designated location near the white tent.

From the South (northbound on M-39 Southfield Freeway):

Exit Southfield Freeway at exit 5 (Rotunda Drive).  At the light, turn right on Rotunda Drive.  Go 1.7 miles to the Rotunda ball fields which are on your left. Park in the designated location near the white tent.

From the East (westbound on I-94):  

Exit I-94 at exit 109 (Rotunda Drive).  At the light, turn left on Rotunda Drive.  Go 0.4 miles to the Rotunda ball fields which are on your right. Park in the designated location near the white tent.

From the West (east bound on either I-94 or I-96);  

If on I-94, exit at the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and proceed north.  Exit Southfield Freeway at exit 5 (Rotunda Drive).  At the light, turn right on Rotunda Drive.  Go 1.7 miles to the Rotunda ball fields which are on your left. Park in the designated location near the white tent.
