Inslee issues update to rescind Proclamation 20-69
Story
Today, Gov. Jay Inslee announced the upcoming rescission of Proclamation 20-69, which waived/suspended the residency requirement that allows public university graduate students to receive tuition waivers in exchange for performing teaching and research functions. Although we remain in a state of emergency, this order is no longer necessary to respond to this crisis.
A brief delayed effective date will allow program administrators adequate time to adjust to pre-COVID-19 procedures.
This order of rescission is effective May 15, 2022
