Los Angeles, CA — Warner Brothers is facing a lawsuit filed by a special effects worker on the upcoming film "Green Lantern," who was severely injured in an on-set accident. The special effects worker filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, reported the Hollywood Reporter.

The plaintiff, John Franco, claims he was severely injured in a July 2010 accident in Louisiana, on the set of the summer superhero movie. The lawsuit didn’t offer many details, but Franco claims that the accident caused him to suffer “numerous internal and external injuries, severe fright, shock, pain, discomfort and anxiety.”

Warner Bros Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, Big Moose Llc., DC Comics and South Bay EFX Inc.. were sued for negligence, peculiar risk, ultra-hazardous activity and loss of consortium.

The injury lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
