Annual survey ranks corporate responsibility performance of major companies globally
General Mills was named today to Corporate Responsibility magazine’s list of the “100 Best Corporate Citizens” for 2011. General Mills ranks 12th in the magazine’s 12th annual ranking.
“General Mills strives to stand among the most socially responsible consumer food companies in the world, and we’re proud to be recognized as one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2011,” said Ken Powell, chairman and CEO of General Mills. “We work hard every day to earn the trust of consumers, and being a responsible corporate citizen is integral to maintaining that trust.”
This recognition from Corporate Responsibility magazine is the latest of several recent prestigious corporate awards for the company. Fortune magazine recently named General Mills to its Fortune’s Most Admired Companies and Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For lists for 2011.
