Bridgestone Group Donates to Relief Efforts in Australia
Tokyo (January 26, 2011) – The Bridgestone Group today announced that it has donated more than ¥12.7 million (approximately US$150 thousand) to assist with relief efforts following the January flood in Australia.
Bridgestone Corporation donated ¥5 million (approximately US$59 thousand) to the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal through the Embassy of Australia in Japan. Bridgestone Australia Ltd., a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, donated AU$100 thousand (approximately US$91 thousand) to the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.
The Bridgestone Group expresses its sincere condolences to the families who have lost loved ones as a result of this tragedy, and we wish the nation of Australia a rapid recovery.
