December 2, 2010 (FinancialWire) (By “The Political Prophet”) (Entire, original November 30th post at http://www.investrendsyndications.net/12-content/manl/prophet/2010/11/php/30.php) — We Predict that Congressional Republicans will continue to resist the pressure being exerted by President Obama to ratify the START Treaty but, contrary to his claim, their reluctance has more to do with the foreign policy incompetence being demonstrated by the Obama Administration than politics.

Failures on nuclear containment in Iran, miss-steps with North Korea and the abandonment of missile defense systems in Europe plus the decay our relationships with Israel and many of our other allies all add up to serious questions about Obama’s ability to manage foreign policy issues and relationships. The shocking failure of Obama’s Justice Department with the Ghailani trial in civilian court further erodes confidence in the President’s judgment on issues which could impact the protection of America from those who would do us harm. Obama’s ineptitude in foreign policy makes it irresponsible for the Republican Leadership to accept his judgment on the treaty and they need time to complete their own evaluation and they need written assurances from Russia on at least one element of the language in the treaty.

We Predict it will become publicly known that Republican Congressional Leadership used professional mental health/sociological tools to prepare for today’s meeting with President Obama.

Experienced politicians usually anticipate each other’s reactions by using established patterns of behavior as their guide but while Obama is quite predictable in some respects, he is frighteningly unpredictable in others and thus is difficult to deal with on substantive issues.

The Political Prophet(R) has an incredibly accurate track record predicting Obama’s future actions. We are able to do so by anticipating that he will sacrifice everything including the national interest if he believes it will help his political fortunes. Unlike most previous presidents in modern times, there seem to be no limits for Obama.
