November 5, 2010 (FinancialWire) (Go to http://www.financialwire.net/?s=ftrdnwswnd for all of today’s featured news.) — Ceragon Networks (NASDAQ: CRNT), a provider of wireless backhaul networks, said it has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Mobile Cellular (mcel),  a mobile telephone operator in Mozambique.

According to Ceragon, mcel contracted with the firm for a turnkey solution, with complete radio planning for the backbone network, and an on-site survey to detail all link specifications.

Ceragon said that its solutions will form a microwave backbone link that joins the central part of Mozambique to the southern part, from the city of Beira to the capital city of Maputo.

New Jersey-based Ceragon Networks’ wireless backhaul solutions are meant to enable cellular operators and other wireless service providers deliver voice and data services, enabling smart-phone applications.
