Security & Defense: Micronetics Receives Orders Totaling $4 Mil
June 24, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Micronetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOIZ) said that its New Jersey-based subsidiary, Microwave Concepts, has received orders valued at over $4 million from a major defense OEM for microwave subassemblies.
The subassemblies are used as part of a high performance airborne jamming system. Micronetics said that the anticipated period of performance on this program is around 24 months.
David Robbins, CEO of Micronetics, said the order was a follow-on contract at the firm’s microwave subsystems division, Micro-Con.
New Hampshire-based Micronetics manufactures microwave and radio frequency components and integrated subassemblies used in a range of defense, aerospace and commercial applications.
Micronetics also manufactures and designs test equipment and components that test the strength, durability and integrity of communication signals in communication equipment.
