(NASDAQ: RENT), a firm offering multi-screen media measurement services to the advertising and entertainment industries, said it has reached an agreement with Post-Newsweek (NYSE: WPO), the owner and operator of six major market television stations, to provide ABC-affiliate WLPG in Miami and NBC-affiliate KPRC in Houston with media measurement from Rentrak's local market service, StationView Essentials.
Available in all 210 local TV markets, Rentrak's StationView Essentials service is equipped to provide detailed satellite, telco TV and cable viewing information from millions of televisions nationwide.
The company said that there are 25 stations in 13 markets currently subscribing to Rentrak's Database Currency, which provides the industry with a view of TV audience behavior through access to Rentrak-proprietary qualitative metrics such as Ad Retention indices, Program "Stickiness"/Engagement factors and retail trading area and political district ratings.
