Sabatino joins United from Schering Plough (NYSE: SGP), where he served as executive vice president and general counsel and oversaw the company’s global law department as well as a number of other functions.

Prior to Schering Plough, Sabatino held similar roles at Baxter International and American Medical International. Chicago-based United Airlines operates around 3,300 flights a day on United and United Express to more than 230 U.S. domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
