Bingo Site Offers Couple Dream Wedding
A bingo site, OnlineBingoClub.co.uk, is offering a lucky couple GBP 5000 towards their special day. All they have to do is feature its logo on the bride's dress, wedding invitations, table settings and menus, and be featured in publicity material.
PRESS DISPENSARY - Thursday, Mar 18, 2010 - A bingo site is to become the UK's first company to sponsor a wedding as part of a controversial competition.
OnlineBingoClub.co.uk is offering one lucky couple GBP 5000 towards the cost of their big day in return for sponsoring the event.
All the couple have to do is feature OnlineBingoClub.co.uk's logo on their wedding invitations, table settings and menus and pose for promotional photos and publicity material.
The bride will also be expected to wear a logo on her wedding dress which will later be removed before personal photos are taken.
Now the search is on to find a couple who will agree to having their wedding commercialised. Being huge online bingo fans may be an advantage but isn't essential.
The wedding will be the first arranged by controversial new service Pimp My Bride through their website www.PimpMyBride.eu
With the average UK wedding costing over GBP 11,000, many couples simply can't afford their dream wedding and OnlineBingoClub's Rob Hutchison says he's pleased to be able to offer one couple the chance of a day they'll never forget.
Mr Hutchison said: "We all know how expensive weddings can be. There's so much to take care of and things soon add up.
"We've all heard people say they're not after a big, extravagant wedding but that's never really the case.
"We're hoping to give one lucky bride the wedding she's always dreamed of and all she has to do is feature our company's logo on her dress and wedding invites, not a lot to ask for a life-long memory.
"I think our colourful logo will look great against the backdrop of a traditional white wedding dress and I hope the bride thinks so too.
"The five thousand pounds can be used towards the cost of the wedding reception or to fund a dream honeymoon, whatever the couple wants."
With over half a million Brits regularly playing online bingo it seems the thought of displaying the site's logo on their wedding dress will be no deterrent to many.
To enter the competition brides to be must send in pictures of themselves and their partner, a short biography about their relationship and 100 words on what it would mean to them to become the world's first bingo bride, to BingoBride@OnlineBingoClub.co.uk .
