Jacobs Engineering Renews 5-year BP Contract

February 24, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) said that BP Raffinaderij Rotterdam has renewed its five-year Master Site Agreement to support small projects work at BP’s (NYSE: BP) Rotterdam refinery in The Netherlands.

According to Jacobs, the refinery has the largest annual production capacity in Europe, at around 400,000 barrels of crude oil a day, and produces a range of finished and intermediate products.

Officials did not disclose the contract or investment values.

Under the agreement, Jacobs will provide various engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Jacobs has been providing EPCM services to BP at the Rotterdam site since 2004 under the initial MSA.

The work will continue to be performed by Jacobs’ office in Leiden, The Netherlands, supported by a site-based team.
