AT&T Wins $45 Million State Department Contract
September 2, 2009 (FinancialWire) — AT&T (NYSE: T) said its government solutions unit has received an award from the U.S. Department of State worth around $45 million if all options are exercised.
The award was issued under a contract vehicle that allows AT&T to provide a range of communications services to federal government agencies.
Under the award, AT&T will provide managed services including private line, multi-protocol label switching, frame relay, voice and IP telephony.
The company will deploy these services at more than 100 State Department locations, supporting systems and applications for its 13,000 employee work force.
Dallas, Texas-based AT&T is a communications holding company whose subsidiaries and affiliates offer wireless, Wi-Fi, high speed internet and voice services.
